Making positive impacts for Indigenous business since 2017
Our History
Indigenous Business Development Services was established in 2017 to expand resources for Indigenous entrepreneurs in BC. IBDS works directly with organizations in BC that operate in or near Indigenous communities and are interested in hosting business development programming in their community. Recently, IBDS has created an online platform to bring business development programming online in order to expand the reach of programming to all Indigenous peoples in BC. These online workshops are free to Indigenous peoples in BC.
Our Funding
IBDS is funded by Pacific Economic Development Canada and partners with four Aboriginal Financial Institutions in BC:
Haida Gwaii Community Futures
Nuu-Chah-Nulth Economic Development Corporation
Stó:lō Community Futures
Central Interior First Nations of Community Futures British Columbia.
IBDS works out of the Haida Gwaii Community Futures offices on the traditional unceded territories of the Haida People.
